The Srebrenica Refugee Camp that Never Closed
A hundred kilometres from Srebrenica, 400 female relatives and survivors of the 1995 genocide still live in the rundown temporary camp where they found shelter, and say they will never return home.
Together with Kasper Goethals and Johannes De Bruycker, I found and captured this story in the Summer of 2015. We kept following this group of women. Although the war has been over for more than two decades, they don’t dare to return to the home that they still long for.
